Jessica and Zack’s in-home family session was intimate and so sweet. The family missed the best time to photograph a newborn, which spans from the sixth to the twelfth day after a baby’s arrival. However, this was not a problem, as they opted for a shorter, more laidback session at three months instead. So, if you’ve missed the newborn window too, worry not—your family still has the opportunity to be photographed with its newest member!
We originally planned the session to take place outdoors, but the rain had other plans. Thankfully, Jessica and Zack were flexible enough to bring the session indoors at their beautiful San Francisco flat. Their little guy did exceptionally well for his first session ever!
Their home was the perfect shelter from the weather and the ideal location for their session. It was cozy, warm, and filled with gorgeous furnishings and personable adornments. Both new and meaningful vintage pieces made a charming backdrop to tell their loving story through photos. All the while, big brother Maury was on his best behavior.
For the session, Jessica opted to wear a french blue midi-length dress adorned with ruching and ruffles (french blue has quickly become my favorite color). Zack wore a white button-down shirt and khaki pants, while their little one sported an ivory fisherman sweater and blue jeans. Not to be outdone, Maury was dashing in a matching french blue bow tie. The combined effect was a sweet and calming color palette that coordinated well with their very sweet nursery.
It was a joy photographing Jessica and Zack’s in-home family session! I truly believe that family is everything, so I love to capture those special moments so that you can look back on them forever. To book me for your family or newborn session, kindly contact me.
