As a photographer, I have the honor of preserving memories and telling your unique story! There are so many milestones that deserve to be captured and enjoyed for years to come. That is why I love photographing life moments after the wedding, as my couples grow their family. I had the honor of photographing The Ward family from maternity, to newborn, and recently when their baby boy turned one! It is so wonderful to be with my clients at every step of their journey.
For Lane’s first birthday, they chose to do a holiday mini-session to capture this special moment. We decided on my favorite little spot, a small trail nestled in Castro Valley. This is close to my home and always has beautiful nooks where you can sit down and bask in the sun as a family. For sessions with my little ones, I like to bring picnic blankets so we can just relax together and watch the leaves that were starting to fall. With such a gorgeous backdrop, it felt effortless capturing these sweet little moments.
As the Holidays start to arrive, some may be wondering when the best time to photograph is. September to early October are my favorite times to photograph families in time for the holiday rush because it also helps us avoid the rainy season here in Northern California. If you plan on having your photos taken for a Holiday card, the earlier, the better! This way, you have plenty of time to order them and get them mailed out.
Due to the high demands for mini-sessions this year, I am hosting one final Holiday Session this year! It will be on December 12th with the location and details tbd. I am excited to share however that this session will be indoors and styled by my lovely vendor friend, Katrina Saw of K Saw Weddings. If you’ve missed the rush this holiday season, this session will be the perfect time to capture your family or even you as a couple!
